Independent website maker, having spent most of my career building and maintaining computer networks (and making and maintaining websites both as part of my job and as a side interest).
I work mostly with non-profits, building on a CMS (Drupal or Wordpress depending on the project requirements and maintenance level) often with CiviCRM to manage email, memberships and fundraising.
National Union of Public and General Employees: September 2006 to January 2016
As National Representative / Network Administrator, I have provided general IT services for the staff of NUPGE, researching, purchasing, installing and maintaining network, phone and videoconferencing equipment and software, as well as building and maintaining the web services used in our day to day operations (NUPGE.ca and it's related sites) and campaigns (AllTogetherNow.nupge.ca, whatascam.ca) using Drupal (content management) and CiviCRM (relationship management). I've enjoyed being involved in the Drupal community (attendance at various camps and cons regionally and internationally) and the continuous learning that comes with this rapidly growing project.
